Background:
EWAD (Environmental Women in Action for Development) mission is to empower women, children and youth to overcome poverty and vulnerability through education, life skills development and to enhanced access to other resources for social and economic development.
EWAD Integrated Primary School began in 2020 and in 2024 has 143 learners in Nursery - P7.
EWAD serves primary aged school children, that come from low income earning families from Bugiri, Kiwulwe, a local fishing community that is located at the shores of Lake Victoria. They are hoping to construct a three-classroom block for nursery aged children including, Baby Class, Middle and Upper Class for Early Childhood Learning Centre at EWAD Integrated Primary School located in Kiwulwe Village, Bugiri, Kawuku, Katabi Subcounty, Wakiso District, Uganda.
