Background:
Jesus Cares Nursery and Primary School was started in 2010 in the Kisinga Trading Centre, Kasese District of Uganda, in rented facilities. The five founding pastors had a vision to improve the education, living standard and health of the community. These pastors were keen to see the establishment of a Christian school. They had seen the impact of other Christian schools, such as the nearby Rwentutu school, on their communities. They were impressed by the teachers' dedication and the quality of education that could be made available to children from low income families.
In 2016, two hectares of land were purchased by the school and six temporary classrooms erected. In 2020 the first three classroom block was built followed by another three classroom block in 2021, and the final four classrooms in 2023 - thanks to donors from Western Canada.
The enrollment is over 100, in Nursery through P6 grade levels.
