PROJECT in progress:

Three-Classroom Block

LOCAL CONTRIBUTION:

Bricks and labour.

Background:

Kyabarungira Vocational secondary school is located in Kabagaga Village, Kyabarungira sub-county, in the Kasese district of Uganda. This area place has had turmoil leading to prolonged poverty and education lagging behind.

The area/sub-county currently has nine primary schools and no secondary school. The Church of Uganda realized that most of the children would stop education after completing primary levels because there wasn't any high school in the area. Few pupils whose parents could afford fees went to high schools from distant places. In light of this, the church decided to start Kyabarungira Vocational Secondary School to fill the gap in secondary education.

Despite the need for the school and the availability of students, the church and the community lack support to put up furnished classrooms that will lead to successful teaching and learning process.

The school needs six classrooms of which two of them should be a multipurpose hall, office, science and computer laboratories.
