New Project in Kampala, Uganda
In 2011 the Namungoona Orphanage Primary School in Kampala, Uganda applied to C4A for a grant to help fund the construction of a classrooms block to house the many students who were currently being accommodated in an inadequate building in a slum area of the city. C4A has visited the site a few times. Pictures below tell the story.
By March 2013 the school had secured land nearby to build more classrooms and once the project had been approved and funds available, they started their 5-classroom block. The project has now progressed to almost ring-beam height and there is much excitement among staff and students alike.
