Donor Involvement

In 2019 Classrooms for Africa coordinated five donor groups to visit projects in Uganda. Their visits included opening new facilities, checking out work in progress and visiting prospective new projects.

Each Classrooms for Africa project follows a procedure which we apply to help keep consistency in our work. Prospective new projects are screened to check that they comply with our guidelines. Funding is released in installments as evidence of progress is obtained and visits are helpful in this process. Completed project show donors that their contributions have been used effectively.

This year donor groups visited a total of 24 schools in Uganda where Classrooms for Africa is involved.

Feedback we receive from donors who visit projects is encouraging both to Classrooms for Africa and to the schools.
